When Kitty & Adam came to us for help in the planning of their destination wedding they were already in love with Italy but a little unsure about how to find a beautiful property that might be right for their intimate nuptials. Since a romantic getaway on the scenic Amalfi Coast was already on their wish list, Hotel Bellevue Syrene, perched atop the cliffs of Sorrento, overlooking the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius was an ideal choice for bringing long-term aspirations to life in elegant style.
SYRENE SORRENTO
The couple decided that they wanted to host a special activity for incoming guests, to ensure they enjoyed the destination as much as the wedding itself so a pre-wedding day trip to Pompeii was organized, allowing them a wonderful family experience before the main event.
Hotel Bellevue Syrene is set against a backdrop of endless azure, both sky and sea, with rooms and terraces positioned to take in the breathtaking blue hue. The contemporary décor, Murano glass chandeliers, and polished marble are a visual cornucopia of design, providing ideal spaces for each phase of their big day.
A traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony honoured Kitty’s heritage and formed the prelude to the Western style vow exchange on the ocean front terrace, all captured beautifully by award winning photographer Jules Bower whose images relay the story of Kitty and Adam’s romantic elopement – see gallery for more.
In classic Italian style Kitty and Adam posed on a vintage silver vespa, which they requested for their photos, (an homage to illustrated travel poster art of the 1920’s) and enjoyed the evening with a traditional squeezebox accordion playing Italian melodies at their reception dinner. As the night came to an end, a keepsake of Sorrento’s charm and flavour, personalized bottles of limoncello, were presented to delighted guests.
